How unbelievably fortunate we are to partner with skilled and dedicated artisans half a world away. Through various projects, we hope to participate in a meaningful way by contributing funds toward childhood education.
We will also periodically support other charitable organizations through rugs designed for cause. A portion of proceeds from fundraiser rugs will be donated for the life of each offering.
THE LOCAL PROJECT
100% of proceeds earned from sales of rugs in The Local Project’s gallery and store will support Weaving Dreams, a local charitable organization dedicated to assisting and enriching the lives of rug community families.

“The Local Project Nepal is a platform for native and indigenous products, whereby customers are given direct access to a diverse range of 100% locally made items. While one of our key aims entails providing customers with high-quality, locally sourced and sustainable products, the Local Project is aso driven by the desire to aid the growth of the local market, and to provide local entrepreneurs with sustainable livelihoods. This store and the regular events that we host, we believe, will showcase quality local products to a wide audience, thus leading to a growth of the Nepali market and benefitting a number of people in the process.”
